Logline
Stuck in an hour of after-school detention with the former best friend who has tormented him for years, a bullied teenager finds himself holding all the power, and a single choice that will destroy them both, or save them.
Synopsis
Room 627 takes place over a single hour of after-school detention. Eli Jacobs is a bullied, emotionally isolated teenager who has learned to keep his head down. Ryan Keller is the former friend who made him that way.
When the teacher steps out, and the room goes quiet, years of unspoken history between them surface. What starts as familiar taunting escalates into something neither of them can walk back from.
The room becomes the only witness.
Confined to one room with no one coming to help, the film asks a hard question: when someone who has hurt you is finally vulnerable, what do you do with that? Room 627 is about that moment, and what one choice can cost, or change.
Rooted in the words of Luke 6:27, “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,” the film is a quiet but unflinching exploration of what that command actually looks like when it costs something.

A note on subject matter
Room 627 deals with bullying, teen mental health, and suicide. The production followed established safe-messaging guidance for depicting suicide on screen, including recommendations from the World Health Organization's resource for filmmakers and the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention.
